VIVA Technical specification
VIVA is a full-composite low-wing airplane with a wingspan about 17 metres. It reminds of a glider optically, but it offers 1,2 metres wide cockpit indeed with seats adjustment side-by-side. It taxis on the suspended retractable central wheel on the ground. The manipulation is facilitated by a dirigible tail skid.
The strong four-stroke 44 Kw (60 PS) engine is doing very well especially while flying-up. Fly-up of 3-4 metres per sec. is shown by a variometer by 80-90 kilometres per hour with 75% of the output. After switching off the engine and closing of the propeller into the engine cove the going down can be seen 0,65 metres per sec. by 85 kilometers per hour.
Airplane in the thermic stacks excellently as an „adult“ glider without needing a help of rudders to hold the transversal position. Landing is similar as in the case of a glider, descending value can be adjusted precisely by means of telescopic brakes on the suction side of the wing.
Average consumption of VIVA is about 4,8 litres per hour by the travel speed of 160 kilometers per hour.
